No Illmatic, but still a great album

Let's get something clear... Nas is NOT making another Illmatic. No one in RAP can make an album that amazing... let's get to business here. This is the Nas of old, the Nas that makes you think and is tight at the same time. Ether is the second illest dis of all time (behind Pac's "Hit Em Up")... it totally broke Jay-Z apart... you simply can't answer that, Jigga. Rewind is one of my favorite songs... how many people do you know that can spit an entire story backwards? Only Nas... following that comes one of the most powerful songs in all of rap... "One Mic." The emotions flowing through this song are unreal, as Nas builds up the first two, then goes high to a mere whisper in the third.... truly amazing. 2nd Childhood is a look @ the lives of three grown ups who haven't lost their childhood. Destroy and Rebuild is another dis track aimed @ Prodigy, Nature, and Cormega. It's not as powerful as Ether, however... when Nas and AZ combine, the result is always a masterpiece. See The Flyest for details. While The Blueprint was a great album (Jay's best since Reasonable Doubt), this is much better. If you don't have it yet, you need to go get it... while you're at it, pick up Illmatic, The Lost Tapes and God's Son, too... holla!!!
