Streets Disciple: Almost a classic

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (8/10)
One of Nas' most riskiest moves, he decides to follow the trend of todays rappers and release a double album. After listening to the 128 minute record, you can definetly tell that one disc is much stronger than the other, specifically disc 2. The second disc seems to be more coherent, the production is tighter and the songs are better overall with such tracks as suicide bounce, virgo with doug e. fresh and ludacris and bridging the gap with his father. Is too much a good thing? For this album yes, if some tracks were taken out and this was one entire disc it would have been a classic. But give it up for Nas to try something everybody else has tried and failed (Diplomats, Blueprint 2, Master P)and hopefully his album does well.
