Street's Disciple

Nas drops hottest album of the year

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (8/10)
I could easily talk for days about the positive and negative of Street's Disciple, but let's get straight to the point(s).

Street's Disciple is the best LP of 2004. Nas is the same lyrical monsta we know from Illmatic, etc. The thing I like about him is he still has his own, distinct style in a hip-hop era where most are copycats. Street's Disciple does not dissappoint, with several tracks I hit the repeat button. Nas also limits the geust appearances (some new names, Busta, Ludacris and that's about it) which is nice. I give the album 4 stars and DEFINITELY recomend buying it.

Now the bad... this album has a few filler tracks and would have been better served as a 1-disc classic. But it's not; it's a double-disc album and still holds massive weight. If you're looking for all punch-lines or club-bangers, the album is okay. But for true hip-hoppers, it is FIRE!!!
