This CD is as good as or better than anything he's put out since Illmatic. I'm not going to compare it with any of his previous works, but as a stand alone CD, it's one of the best I've heard in a long time. Jay'Z and Eminem were more highly anticipated releases this year, but Street's Disciple is better than at least one of those CD's, if not both--you know who flopped. I'm not here to spoil the CD, but Nas is here again with his typical righteous nature and a better foundation on which to speak his gospel. He proves he's got talent as "Nazareth Savage" is the "Made You Look" part II--more skill based than knowledge. Then he drops the bomb on Kobe for being a sellout role model. Another hard song is "Suicide Bounce" with chorus by Busta Rhymes, but the rest of disc II is toned down. Not saying it's not good music, because it is, it just shows that Nas can rap about more than street life and hustling. Get the CD before it inflates to $20, and I can assure you'll get your money's worth. There's even a Nas poster complete with his tattoo of a topless Kelis. 4-star CD. 5-star Nas.
