God Son across the belly, Commercial rap has lost already.

That's what Nas will be thinking while sitting back & puffing on a Blunt for his chronic & sippin' on his juice with tonic!

Hands down best Hip-Hop album of the year. Just ahead of College Dropout & the Tipping Point.

Disc 1 - My favourite songs on first disc were Nazareth Savage (Sick beat), These are our Heroes (Blasts Kobe), both the songs with Scarlett (A.K.A Nas) are awesome, but the song with Quan is probably my favourite. Nas even has to step his flow up on this one just so Quan doesn't outshine him.(Is it just me or does Quan's style sound a lot like Tupac's? for lyrics & flow? It's a sweet flow eitherways) Rest of My Life & Reason were also ill
songs.

Disc 2 - I enjoyed U.B.R (Dedicated to Rakim), Virgo would be better if it didn't have Ludacris on it, his verse is wack. (Can't believe that hype man won hip-hop artist of the year?) I then feel this album has a bit of a lull until the Best Song on the Double disc Bridging The Gap pops up. (I'm sure you've heard this one it has Nas's dad Olu Dara providing the hook & has a Bad to the Bone type beat to it) War is not about Iraq, but rather about War in the streets. Keon Bryce supplies one of the best hooks I've heard in a long time. (This was Nate Dogg standard!) I also love Me & You dedicated to his daughter. (Kind of reminds me of Kweli's verse off Black Girl Pain on Beautiful Struggle) Thief's theme has a hot beat as does suicide bounce but the lyrics to me fall a little bit short on Suicide Bounce & sorry to say it but Bustas Hook is pretty wack. (Do we expect anything else from Busta though?)

All in all, a solid double CD. Go & get it instead of buying Chingys or Eminems or Ludas or Snoop Doggs lame Commercial garbage, or Nas will be sending bullets at your cartliage, burning out the side of your dome, he's out of his throne & he got this locked since 91.

Peace. MC Jaybsty.

Ai'ight, Nothing More

I'm trying to get into this album, but it's not that easy. Don't get me wrong, I respect Nas, and consider him to be one of the best MC's in [ ... read complete review ]
