Yet again, Nas has made another classic for his true fans. This double album is no doubt the best album of the year and for years to come. On "Street's Disciple", Nas takes us back to the man known as Nasty Nas. The entire album is a narrative which tells a story from when Nasir first started in the rap game to the day he finally settles down and gets married. The archetype for Street's Disciple is arguably the greatest of any LP. It is truly a story, by the best story teller in rap, from the first track to the last. He has gone back to his roots and he exemplifies this on his first single "Theif's Theme". With a raw beat produced by the infamous Salaam Remi, this track pours out with raw and grimey lyrics. The majority of this album is produced by Salaam Remi and L.E.S., who provide authentic and fire beats. Mix that with the greatest rapper and lyricist alive and you have a recipe for a classic LP. In a time of of watered-down hip-hop, Nas comes out with one of his greatest works of street hop to try and save rap. If you are a true rap fan, this LP is a must.
