Please Stop Comparing Everything To Illmatic!!!!

I've read a lot of reviews and it seems that everyone who is knocking this album is doing so on the basis that this is not Illmatic pt.2. I know that many of us (yes, myself included) would have loved to see DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Alchemist, & Large Professor all over this project. Instead, we are hit with Salaam Remi, LES, & Chucky Thompson. Despite what most people say, they still do a great job in providing Nas with classic backdrops (especially Salaam Remi & LES). This album is bangin, but not flawless by any stretch of the imagination (namely "The Makings of ...). At the same time, there's plenty of classic material on here to further establish his position amongst the all-time greats. All in all, I have to give it a 4.5.
