(10/10)Everyone says how Illmatic can never be topped, but this CD makes me wonder. The beats are tighter and the lyrics more intricate and emotional than on any other CD I've listened to. I don't understand how any one of these songs could miss the cut for a NaS album, even Illmatic. Out of the twelve songs on this album, ten of them could easily be classics and are better than most mainstream rap that you will hear on the radio. I can really say that I have never heard an album that is even close to this level other than other NaS albums and maybe "The Eminem Show" If you like hip-hop you must have this album!
