Neil did it!

I have loved Neil Diamonds music and his voice, ever since the 70's, and have a few of his albums including the box set. Then the 90's came and country music made a great impact on the listening public, thanks to Garth Brooks and the like. Neil put out this album in 1996, in the midst of the country craze, and I was curious to say the least. I was so used to his pop sound, I wondered how he would sound 'gone country'. Well, I have to say that I was pleasantly suprised...this is a great album, and he more than holds his own with the country greats that he duets with, such as Waylon Jennings, Hal Ketchum, Raul Malo, Beth Nielsen Chapman and Chet Atkins. And all but one of the songs he wrote or co-wrote. This is a super album that should appeal to all fans of Neil's as well as fans of country.
