After a lackluster decade in the 80's, Neil Young experienced a renaissance in the 90's. He released some of the best albums of his career and showed that he was every bit a relevant as he was in the 70's. His first album of a new decade and century is another brilliant piece of music. Spurred on by a reunion with CSN, Silver & Gold is a beautiful collection of songs that contains some sharp and vivid lyrics. Songs like "The Great Divide", "Horseshoe Man", "Red Sun" and "razor Love" are all magnificent tracks. The best track on the album is the great "Buffalo Springfield Revisited" in which dreams what life would have been like if he had stayed with the seminal country-rock band instead of breaking away to follow his own muse. Closer to 60 than 40, Neil Young shows no signs of fading away.
