The Best Neil album since Harvest Moon

I've been a Neil Young fan most of my life, since I first bought 'After The Gold Rush' when it was first released. Following Neil's career has been a roller coaster ride through various genre's and experimentation. Some of it worked, some of it didn't...but you can never accuse Neil of not giving it his all. On 'Silver and Gold' he gives it his all again, only this time around what he's giving is a very personal insight into his life today. The songs like the title track, "Good to See You" and "Razor Love" are as beautiful and intimate as Neil has been in years.

Make no mistake, this is Neil at his quietest and mellowest yet. But, the sparse and acoustic settings for these songs only make them that much more powerful.

Easily Neil's best release since the fantastic "Harvest Moon".

Five stars...for the sheer beauty and intimacy of it all.
