This album's a pleasure

The feel of this album is pure Neil. It's like he invites you over to his house, and there he is playing with a few old friends. They're all playing personal favorites, and they're letting you listen in. You don't know the songs but they're so honest, so true, you feel right at home. The quality of this recording is also good (a HDCD),so you really do feel like you're there. From the opening "Good To See You", the songs are timeless. Neil gets a bit sentimental on a few tunes, and joyful on others, but those are his strong points. The musicianship is restrained, but creates a texture that compliments his vocals to the fullest. Out of the 10 songs on this short (39 min.)album, 7 have become stuck in my head, in a good way. The video "Silver & Gold" is also worth having. It has a few different songs, and some the same, only solo acoustic, live from his tour before the CSN&Y reunion. Get both and enjoy.
