As a listener of Neil Young's music from the very beginning of his career, I've pretty much been disappointed with his totally electric music, but I have always marveled at his mostly acoustic music. While this album is more of a musical cliche, it does contain solid music that does harken back to "After the Gold Rush" and "Harvest", two of my favorites. In my opinion, Neil Young's best work always had a bit of a bite to it; driven by a little anger, tragedy, or disappointment. This album is very good, but it is in the middle of his pack.
