Neil Young is arguably the finest songwriter of our time. Anyone who can write lyrics like "Roads strech out like healthy veins, and wild gift horses strain the reins" deserves everyone's attention. With "SILVER AND GOLD" Neil goes back to his roots. Love, family, friendships, and home are all covered here with the grace and ease with which Neil Young has become so famous. All ten songs are of the highest quality. My only complaint here is one of "quantity". This disc runs a total of 39:00. At regular C.D. prices one pays a premium for these ten songs. I find myself at the "Great Divide" of quality over quantity. SILVER AND GOLD is as good as any Neil Young release. If you love Neil's music as much as I, then spend the money. It's well worth it. Hopefully; his next release will give his fans a bit more bang for the buck.
