Neil "forever" Young strikes again. And he's back with one of his soft folk-albuns (my favourites), proving that he's not able to lose his habilities in the art of pop music. Neil's career always been pointed by cicles. An folk albun after an rock one after an blues one (plus experimental works like Trans, Reactor and Everybody's Rockin') just affirms his capacity to reinvent himself. Neil is (more than Dylan, I think) the real dinossaur of rock'n'roll. His influences on grunge rock and his contributions on CSNY and Buffalo Springfield are treasures of our time. Here, on Silver And Gold, Neil talks about love, past, tenderness and optimism with truth and passion. Buffalo Springfield Again is one of most beautiful Young's songs ever written, The Great Divide is simply marvelous and the eponymous tune seems made by an angel. Following the traces of Harvest, After The Gold Rush, Comes A Time and Harvest Moon, Neil gave us a new timeless piece of art. God bless you, old man.
