Now, I've never been a huge fan of Nelly. I'll say, also, that this is an artist that slowly grew on me. I like enough of his music to appreciate the good things about this album. What are the good things? Well, some of the remixes are actually nice! And the songs "Iz U" and "If" are equally so.
The bad things? Well, some of the remixes -aren't- so nice. "Country Grammar," for example. If you've been reading the other reviews that include a word or two about this particular song, then I need not say anything else. "Dilemma" and both of the "E.I." remixes could have been a lot better. These and the better tracks aside (see Notables below), the rest of the songs sort of fall in the middle. Those songs are just all right, and that's about it.
This sound is slightly different from his other albums, and I'm sure the bigger Nelly fans are eating this one up for a chance to hear the "reinventions" of their favorite songs. But me, I'm kind of full.
