I gotta admit that I havent been a huge Nelly fan, I liked some songs on Country Grammar at the time but Nellyville pretty much went in from one ear and came out the other. however I did have a feeling that his new album might actually be decent, I don't know why since the first song I heard was Flap your wings which is downright terrible, but I decided to cop it anyways. turned out that Suit in fact is a really smooth album! The first single, My Place is a typical radio song that resembles Dilemma, but apart from that and the rather boring neptunes track, Play it off the album has really good tracks including Pretty Toes featuring Jazze Pha & TI and Nobody Knows with Anthony Hamilton.

you have to understand though that Nelly is an MTV and radio friendly artist so the album has radio friendly pop songs. hiphop is becoming more diverse and judging from the older reviews on this album, many people dont seem to understand that. Nelly doesnt have to stop his half-singing style since his albums sell and his music is getting played, is there something wrong with that?

I see no problem in having a more mainstream sound, everybody can pick what they listen to and if you want to hear genuine rap music you have to be stupid to listen to Nelly. but if you have a wider taste then go ahead since this album really does sound good.
