First off to be real, Nelly never came off as hardcore to me but I think we all accepted his music for what it was: Not too gangsta but appealing. "Country Grammer" and "Nellyville" were much better than "Sweat". Nelly's always been cocky but Jesus Christ the boasts and brags come by the handful in almost every song! He definitely didn't put 100% in this album, he knows because of his status suckers (like me) will buy it. Only good thing about "Sweat" is the St. Lunatics are only on 2 songs. Nelly's always had some lame lyrics but he delivers them in a way that just captivates his audience, but this CD shows just how corny his writing skills are. Especially on the song "Another One" with such lines as "Imagine me up in the store somewhere behind a counter pushin' buttons on the drawer like do do do do do do" and "We all gonna bling whether I rap or sing. Matter of fact I should hit a note now just for the hell of it- Oh..." Not to mention "Getcha Getcha" sounds like "Shake Ya Tailfeather" gone bad and "Flap Your Wings" is simply horrible, definitely the most lackluster single from Nelly. The only good songs are "Na-Nana-Na", "Tilt Ya Head Back", and "Grand Hang Out". The other 10 songs are unbearable, for real!!! If you haven't bought "Sweat" yet, you're lucky, keep your money! On the other hand, I'm not a complete Nelly hater - I would recommend "Suit".
