Back in the day ... It was Bobby, Ralph, Ricky, Ronnie and Mike.
Blowing out in the '80s with songs like Candy girl and Mr. telephone man. After being teensensations what was there left to do? It was time for growing up and saying goodbyes, Bobby Brown left and Johnny (Gill)came. The resulting Heartbreak album is in my opinion one of the best or the best record ever made by any act in any music genre.

This album shows the incredible blending of the distinctive voice of Ralph Tresvant with the fullness of vocal genius Johnny Gill. Ricky Bell gets to strut his stuff in my all time favorite (I always sing this one for girlfriends) song: Can you stand the rain.

If you want to feel what an great liveact should be like, listen to the first track and feel the enthousiasm of the Heartbreak over America tour. The second part of the album is the best known secret in the biz with songs like Coming Home and Boys to Men. The last song showing the transition NE made to own the beginning of the 90's and spawned the name of a certain recordbreaking group.
