One of the best R&B albums of all time.

When I first got hooked on New Edition I was three years old. I remeber hearing Candy Girl and becoming hooked on them. My parents have videos of me dancing to their songs which is kind of embrassing but anyway. This album proves that NE was more than just some Jackson Five clone. On songs like You're Not My Kind of Girl, If It Isn't Love and That's The Way Were Living NE comes through with shear talent. But the album's standouts are the slow jams. If released as a single I'm Coming Home would have gone plantium with a senous beat and lyrics like "I just called you up because you've been on my mind". It's clear that NE could easily convice a woman to go to hell and back with them. Other notable slow jams are Compettion, SuperLady and Boys To Men. But to me the classic is Can You Stand The Rain. This song can serve as a couples wedding song or an anthem to unture fans. I don't think the NE legacy will ever die.
