Home Again is a very average reunion album...
Review Score:

(6/10)
New Edition's reunion album, "Home Again," is not a bad effort considering that all six members were on the album for the first time. One listen to this album gives us a chance to hear each member's talents and vocal ability. Their lead single, "Hit Me Off," while not always as memorable as "If It Isn't Love," did hit no. 1 on the Billboard Charts. The group shines on latter singles such as "One More Day," which showcases Ricky Bell's mellow vocals, and "I'm Still In Love With You," a heartfelt ballad sung by Bell and Ralph Tresvant. The tracks produced by Sean "Puffy" Combs, "You Don't Have To Worry," and "Try Again," are very lackluster and empty. This is not to say the guys didn't try, but Puffy and N.E. just don't work. Other questionable tracks include "Oh Yeah It Feels So Good," "Tighten It Up," and "Hear Me Out." Overall, New Edition doesn't break any new ground on this project. Fans will be pleased after listening to this one, but will realize that it's not as refreshing as their 1988 album, "Heart Break."
