MTV Unplugged in New York [live]

Unquestionably the best Unplugged CD (or other) ever

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (10/10)
This is one of my all-time favorite CDs ever. Kurt Cobain's renditions of David Bowie's "The Man Who Sold the World" and the Meat Puppets' "Lake of Fire" are awe-inspiring. My favorite track off of this CD is the hauntingly beautiful "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?" Also "Jesus Don't Want Me for a Sunbeam", "Pennyroyal Tea", and "Dumb" are jaw-dropping. Kurt's lyrics and guitar playing are stunning in my mind. Even from the beginning with "About a Girl", they set a tone for the entire CD, and you can just feel that this CD is going to be unprecedented from beginning to end. And the fact that Kurt died 5 months later also makes it more important than it already was. Kurt Cobain was and still is one of the greatest frontmen, guitarists, and songwriters of all time. This CD is perfect all around, bottom line.
