I have to say it. This album is trash. It hurts me to say it. I feel that gwen is the most attractive, best hope to take up the female lead in the punk/ska genre. She is backed by some amazing, creative, and versatile musicians. She has the perfect punk ansd ska voice, and i even think she is the perfect candidate for the hip-hop crossover act along with Pink. however, when I heard this ridiculous piece of trash, i thought to myself, "if only she could sing without using words. maybe if it was in a language that i didn't understand." then i wouldn't be embarrased at how juvenile and useless the lyrics are. The album is supported only by the underneath it all track. That track is a lovely gem, but not by any means lyrical genius. the lyrics on the album overall recall the worst efforts of the 80s--cyndi lauper's "a night to remember" was ever better than this album.

musically, her band suffers through this album bravely, but without any enthusiasm.

please!!! tim armstrong!!!! write some lyrics for no doubt. remember when the dance hall crashers had the most exciting female vocals in america? back when tim armstrong from rancid wrote most of their first album?

for god's sake, even team up with beastie boys for some help.
