For the best band ever!

Just A Girl~ This song was written quite well for a girl power song. You usually hear, "Girls rock and don't you forget it." I could write that. Instead Gwen sings pure truth: "I'm just a girl, guess I'm some kind of freak, cause they all sit and stare with their eyes." 5/5
It's My Life~ An amazing remake, the only problem I have is that they play it on the radio much more than they should. It's also kind of short. But I love the astronaut-sounding musi. 5/5
Hey Baby~ Very poppish. Used to be one of my favorites, but it's dropped. Still an excellent song. It's really quite different from their normal rock- it sounds like something Britney might sing, but the song is saved by Gwen. 5/5
Bathwater~ I LOVE this song. It's written beautifully. I especially like the funeral music at the beginning. This is a rockish song, LOL.5/5
Sunday Morning~ This is my favorite song on the album. I especially like the drumming. This one is fun to sing, if you like that kind of stuff. A very creative song.5/5
Hella Good~ Used to be my favorite off Rock Steady, but it's changed. An excellent single, nevertheless, with standout guitar chords and a funky feel. I think that this is a great single, overall. 5/5
New~ I can't seem to like this one. The words are good, but I can't stand the tune. I try really hard to listen, but I'm just not feeling a thing. It's really annoying. 3/5
Underneath It All~ Very islandish. I like the part where the tempo changes in the middle. This is a definite standout track. Lady Saw also makes a nice appearance. 5/5
Excuse Me Mr.~ I love this one! It is so cool, especially the tune, it sounds very hard rockish, yet it keeps to No Doubts pop/rock genre. Bravo! 5/5
Running~ My favorite Rock Steady single. This is a lullaby-like song that just reassures me somehow. I find this one to be soothing and I am extremely glad that No Doubt made it a single. The words and tune have good chemistry. It reminds me of horses prancing in a field LOL. 5/5
Spiderwebs~ The tune to this one is very good. I love this song. It was one of my favorites from the beginning.5/5
Simple Kind Of Life~ This song isn't coming to me. I don't know- it's just kind of boring. May appeal to others, but most definitely not to me. 4/5
Don't Speak~ This is one of my favorites, as with everyone. It is a beautiful song, with heartbreaking words. 5/5
Ex-Girlfriend~ I like the words, but the tune lacks taste. After hearing all four Return of Saturn songs, I feel that it was their worst album. 3/5
Trapped In A Box~ Uggh...this is the worst song on the album. What were they thinking? The words are very interesting, but the tune is not. 1/5

So there. I'm a pretty new ND fan, I just got into them when I bought Rock Steady last year. Needless to say, I fell in love with their music. I especially loved their new stuff, but that was about all that I had heard. After hearing Don't Speak, I was really impressed and expected poppy stuff when I bought this album. I was very dissapointed with it when I got it, but after having it for 3 days, I have definitely grown into it. Sure there are flaws (Trapped In A Box proved to be bad, but no one said I had to listen) and there are gems (Don't Speak!) but this is a very well-built album and I hope that ever ND fan, whether you've liked them for one day or seventeen years (I didn't know they had been together that long, nor did I know Gwen was 34 years old!) I hop you enjoy this brilliant album.
