I don't really understand the point of Greatest Hits albums these days... If you like the band enough, you'll already own all of their CD's, and probably have already assembled your own "greatest hits" CD. If you only like a few of the band's songs, then you probably have already downloaded the songs you like from one of the many MP3 sites out there. But then again, I plan on buying the Greatest Hits CD of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, because I have no interest in buying all of their CDs and am too lazy to download their MP3's, so I guess they are aimed at those of us who are too lazy to get good songs of the Net!!

Anyway, being a very large No Doubt fan, I have the distinct disadvantage of already owning all of their CDs and already burning about a dozen compilation CDs and therefore, I'm not as excited about this CD as I would be if it was a new material CD.

It goes without saying, this CD is fantastic. It's got a lot of their best songs on here, including a new one which is also, needless to say, fantastic. There are a couple songs on there that I bet some No Doubt fans haven't heard, as they come off a CD that is not exactly hard to find, but you need to be proactive in looking for it. I'm only disappointed that they really didn't get all of their best songs on here... 15 songs for a No Doubt Greatest Hits album seems rather slim. And some of the songs they elected to put on here are baffling... Good, but baffling.

In the end, I love the CD, but I don't think it aims for the true No Doubt fans, as I think most will be apprehensive about spending $9.99 for 14 of the songs they are used to and 1 that is a new release. Then again, I could be very wrong. After all, I bought it, and I have all of their CDs.
