I really love this band and virtually everything they have put out. This is the one album I struggle with on occasion, but overall I have to give it four stars. Don't get me wrong, this is a really good album, but unfortunately it is a little to polished and inconsistent at some points. If you have ever listened to Definately Maybe you know exactly what I mean. That album is one of the greatest albums of all time. The sound was raw and every song was amazing. Be Here Now has some aweasome songs, but unfortunately the songs do not have the rawness that Oasis has done in the past. The production does fits some of the songs really well on this album, especially "Don't Go Away" and "D'You Know What I Mean." Those songs sound just amazing. One other song I really enjoy off this album is "The Girl in The Dirty Shirt". That song is pure brit-pop and is one of the catchiest songs I have ever heard. That is the first song I go to when I put this album in. Other standouts are the hard rockers "My Big Mouth" and "It's Getting Better (Man)" and the very catchy "Stand By Me" and "All Around the World". "Fade In-Out" is a pretty good song, and I really love when Liam screams in the middle and the song really gets rockin. So if you are thinking about checking out this album, give it a few spins and it should grow on you pretty quick. Every song is very catchy and it is probably the popiest the band has ever been. This is pure brit-pop.
