Where did it all go wrong? (sigh)
Review Score:

(6/10)
Where did it all go wrong? Around about the third album, I would have said. Definetely Maybe was brilliant. So was the Whatever single. So was Morning Glory. The B-sides from both albums were as good, if not better than the singles, Talk Tonight and Underneath the Sky are particularly good, the whole Some Might Say single is faultless, same with Cigarettes and Alcohol. Be Here Now didn't have bad songs, D'you Know What I Mean, Magic Pie, Don't Go Away, and in particular Fade In-Out are all fantastic. The actual song Be Here Now was nearly the same level, but it felt like they just didn't work on it hard enough to find that fifth gear it should have hit to be worthy of album title. The B-sides from the singles were disapointing compared to all previous ones with the exception of Angel Child and My Sister Lover, (or whatever it's called). This new album should really only be bought by hardcore oasis fans. It's much better than Be Here Now, but I probably would have ditched tracks 3, 4, 5, and 8 if I had written them myself, so I don't quite understand why they can make it to an Oasis album. Gas Panic and Where did it all go wrong? are good, when you hear them a few times, but I still can't figure out why no-one has noticed the similarities between the Roll It Over solo and The Beatle's Come Together solo. The chorus doesent sound right either.
Oh, and just in case the Oasis lads are on the internet for some strange reason and are reading this, GO MANCHESTER CITY! Back in the Premier League at last!
