Complete Ablum Shows the Merits of Pop/Punk Band

The Offspring's "Americana", simply stated, is a complete album from track one until your disc player automatically stops it. Unlike most bands, The Offspring successfully develop a theme and keep it alive in a variety of songs. In regard to variety, "Americana" features very dark songs, like "End of the Line" and "Have You Ever", but also offers humorous and more riffy tracks like the perenial "Pretty Fly For a White Guy" and "She's Got Issues". This album deserves 5 stars because it is fast, thoughtful, fun, and can be listened to without having to skip any tracks. I highly recommend this album to anybody who likes unpretentious rock that can be both catchy and intelligent at the same time.
