I like practically every type of music (except for boy bands). That said, this is my favorite album by any band of any type. Here's how I rate the songs:
1. Welcome- It's like 10 seconds of a monotone speaking. Good for a laugh. And according to the booklet, it's spoken by John Mayer. Go figure. No rating.
2. Have You Ever- What a great way to open a great album. Noodles and Greg blend perfectly and the vocals are cool. 5/5.
3. Staring at the Sun- The perfect followthrough for Have You Ever. Loud and Fast. 4.5/5.
4. Pretty Fly for a White Guy- I've heard it so many times, I'm sick of it, but for the first 50 listens, it's pretty good and pretty funny. 3.75/5.
5. The Kids Aren't Alright- A good song, if a bit of a downer. Great intro and even better chorus. 4/5.
6. Feelings- It's so sarcastic, you'll laugh out loud. It's even good musically. 4/5.
7. She's Got Issues- Sorta funny, nothing good musically. 2.75/5.
8. Walla Walla- Now this is a great song. Funny, good to listen to, fast, loud. Great stuff. 5/5.
9. The End of the Line- Kinda sad, but such a good song that you should still listen to it. 4.75.
10. No Brakes- It's loud and fast, but I don't like it all that much for some reason. 2.5/5.
11. Why Don't you Get a Job?- Funny and catchy as all get out. You'll laugh from the first line. 4/5.
12. Americana- Just a good song. Nothing else to say. 4.5/5.
13. Pay the Man- Kind of a weird ending to a great album, I don't know what to think of it. Just put up with 4 minutes of silence after the song ends to hear a funny mix of PFFAWG. 3.5/5.
As an added bonus, pop it in your computer. It has Karaoke and some funny videos (as well as the music video to I Choose- the song that got me hooked on The Offspring!).
