First of all I rated this a 5 because I love the Offspring and all of their CD's (yes, there ARE CD's BEFORE Smash). This album seems to get a very bad rep because people think that they are "selling out". Most of the people who say this, however, are people that have no taste in music in the first place and love to casually toss the term "sellout" around. This was a good CD and you have to listen to something besides "Pretty Fly for a White Guy" before you can even think of saying something bad about this CD. Another thing that annoys me is hearing people say that "you should listen to real punk". What is "real punk" according to these sad souls? No-talent [people] who cant play, sing, or write music whatsoever and just run around and "sing" about how bad athority is. That, ladys and gentlemen, is [bad], not true punk. REAL punk unfortunately is dead. Just because the Offspring didnt want to say on some [bad] indie label doesnt mean they "sold out". Listen to real music before you try to judge it. The Offspring is an awesome band and worth checking out if all the tasteless people have convinced you otherwise.
