An OK Offspring CD, which completely got mixed reviews

Ixnay on the Hombre got mixed opinions, frankly. Some said it was their last good CD, some said that it was boring. I side more with it being kind of boring, rather than their best. While it definately features a few great songs, a lot of it, surprisingly, sounds amazingly like a more boring Smash.

Good songs include The Meaning Of Life, Gone Away, I Chose, All I Want, Way Down the Line, and Change the World.

The Meaning of Life was catchy, Gone away was sad and powerful, I Chose was different, because it featured extremely sad lyrics, yet with a very happy tune. It creates a bizarre, yet really good song. All I Want and Way Down the Line were basic fast songs, but good. Change The World is one of Offspring's best songs ever.

But the rest just is lame. Don't Pick It Up is just....dumb. But not in a funny way, even though the band (I HOPE) meant it to be funny. Cool To Hate just ended up seeming dumb, even though I can see where they were trying to go with the song. Me And My Old Lady was as annoying as possible, Mota was only OK.

When this CD has good songs, they are amazing. But there is too much bad stuff on it. Smash, Americana, and Splinter are The Offspring's best CD's.
