Offspring's 1994 Smash was a success in many ways. First off it owns the record for most sales by an album on an indie label. Furthermore, this album paved the way for many great rock and punk bands to come. Finally, it propelled The Offspring to the top of their musical genre along with other great bands such as Green Day.

Smash offers an entire cd of quality songs (none need be skipped) that will have the listener tapping thier foot as well as banging their head to the rhythm. On this album, The Offspring display their ability to make extremely catchy tunes that go hand in hand with a rocking beat. The pace is fast, the guitars are heavy, the vocals are amazing and the tempo of how the songs on the album are laid out makes for a great listen all the way through. Dexter's voice is put to good use on all of the songs and he really displays what makes The Offspring better than a lot of other punk bands: Solid vocals.

This album contains classic Offspring releases such as "Come out and Play" "Self Esteem" "Gotta Get Away" and "Smash". But don't let that lead you to beleive that the other songs are sub-par. They're not! All 14 tracks are amazing.

So whether you like punk, pop punk, rock, hard rock, there is a good chance that this album will appeal to you.
