"Totally Hot" kept me nice and warm throughout the Blizzard of '79. I was a freshman in high school and vividly remember the day I slid this album on the turntable and plopped on the headphones: I had the shock of my young life! Olivia Newton-John could wail! From the orgasmic howls of the opening track (Please Don't Keep Me Waiting) to the hootin' & hollerin' finale (Gimme Some Lovin'), I was hooked. In between, we find the sizzling smash hit "A Little More Love", and its hard-driving follow-up, "Deeper Than the Night"; both of these dance-rock treasures (as well as the title song) had accompanying videos (where are they now!?) featuring the lovely Livvy all decked out in leather as on the album cover art.
