This is Overkill's tenth studio album and was released in February 1999. They stayed true to their break-neck metal sound as always, yet slowed things down a bit here. Retaining heaviness was not a problem, as this album hits very hard!! The album kicks off with the song "Necroshine" whith some cool samples on the intro then it kicks in to some seriously heavy mid-tempo riffs and some great lyrics. "My December" is up next and features the back-up vocals of Blitz's sister. My personal favorite is "Let Us Prey", with its sinister riff and great lyrics, very dark stuff!! "80 Cycles" takes us back to the gutter, while "Revelation" is one of the more up-tempo songs here and always goes over well live. "Stone Cold Jesus" has a great bass intro and "Forked Tongue Kiss" has awesome breakdowns during the chorus!! "I Am Fear" and "Black Line" are both great thrashers and "Dead Man" is a perfect album closer. I saw them on this tour and from this album they did "Necroshine", "Let Us Prey", "Revelation", "Stone Cold Jesus" and "Black Line" among their many classics and they all fit in well. If your a fan of Overkill or good classic metal I highly recommend this album.
