As much as I love and respect the Ozz man, I can't support his, (or more correctly, Sharon's), decision to rewrite history. Both Bob Daisley and Lee kerslake are well respected rock & roll vetrans. Lee better known as Uriah Heep's founding and current drummer, while Daisley's credentials stand tall on their own... Rainbow,Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep, Michael schenker, and Yngwie J. Malmsteen to name but a few. The original recordings stand as a testiment of the time in which they were recorded in... a record of that historic period in Ozzy's solo career. It's a real shame that greed plays such a huge part in the lives of those who already have so much... is it unreasonable for Daisley and Kerslake to ask for what they feel they justly deserve? Probably not, and while I certainly don't know the whole story... rewriting the past to keep from paying out royalties seems so drastic a step to take... it's a real shame. I love those original, magical recordings, and am a fan of both Bob Daisley's and Lee Kerslake's as well as Ozzy's, making it so much more difficult to accept these re-released "re-mastered" discs. These new remasters make the re-hiring of Zakk for Ozzy's most recent "Down To Earth" forgivable. The only recomomendation I can give is to stick w/ the original re-masters from a few years ago... they're well priced and worth more due to the magic heald inside them.
