This is such a great album from one of metal's best, Pantera. This was Pantera's first album by the way. Depending on how I feel I either like this one best or Trendkill. Cowboys From Hell strats has a nice use of instruments and Phil's voice. He uses this crazy 80's metal yell. Not my Favorite but I still love it. Primal Concrete Sledge is a real cool and heavy metal song. Good use of every instrument to create a heavy sound. Psycho Holiday is killer. Another great use of the instruments to create a flow of heavy metal. Dimebag plays so good almost effortlessly. Heresy shines bright and proud. It is one of my most favorite Pantera songs. It's such a fun song, you ride it and you can't keep from nodding your head. It's such a great song. Cemetary Gates is a cool song but it's not my favorite. Great use of the guitar and bass. Domination is a masterpeice. everyone especially Dimebag just put everyone back in their place with this one. Great guitar playing. just about more than half of the song is just a heavy jam out. Shattered is crazy. Phil uses his 80's metal yelp on it but that doesn't kill it. Clash With Reality is cool. Not my favorite but I don't hate it. Medicine Man is a great song. I think it's about dealin' dope. I think it's cool how they refer to that as the Medicine Man. The lyrics are cool. Sounds great!! Message in Blood is pretty cool sounding. Sleep is cool. it starts off with a cool acoustic part that's great and then gets heavy. Art of Shredding is another pretty cool song. This album is a classic if you're gonna have any Pantera Cd's have this one. Back in the day their sound was cool. Not that their other stuff isn't but this one just flows more so than the rest.And they play longer and heavier for the most part. Sure beats all that crazy rap rock. And Now that Screamo garbage.
