Wow, this album is truely the prime example of a metal album. Every metal band thats about to go to the studio should listen to this first. This is without a doubt my favorite Pantera album. "Strength Beyond Strength" wastes no time getting the boys doing what they do best just tearing it up. "Becoming" has become a classic that almost every nu-metal or metal band does with the high pitch riffs of Dimebag. "5 Minutes Alone" needs no introduction if you haven't heard this then go back to Nickelback or something. "I'm Broken" is very grooving and heavy track that has become a trademark in the band's setlist. "Good Friends and a Bottle of Pills" is probably one of the more disturbing Pantera songs that Phil has written. "Slaughtered" perfectly showcases just why this album is so heavy. Phil screams at the top of his voice and growls during the verses. The ending cover song of Black Sabbath "Planet Caravan" upstages even the original. Along with Metallica's Master of Puppets, this album is a must have if your going to get into metal.
