Horrible!

A few years ago if anyone ever told me I would ever say anything negative about Pantera, I would've told them they were crazy. I guess perhaps the reason is I had never heard a riff, solo, vocal, anything from Pantera that was anything less than brilliant. But I was proved wrong with STEEL. An entire CD filled with nothing but noise and garbage. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but following them from COWBOYS to TRENDKILL, all excellant albums, and even Phil's stint with DOWN, I just came to expect another killer/knock your teeth out album. Last time I was in a used CD store there was nothing in the Pantera section except 5 copies of Reinventing the Steel. Obviously no one else wanted to hear this album either. Please, if you're new to Pantera, don't let this be your introduction, start out with Vulgar Display of Power, or Far Beyond Driven. My only hope is that Darrell and company realize what a mistake Steel was, and their next CD a return to their killer sound and songwriting that made them one of the best bands ever.
