Pantera

Reinventing The Steel

STILL ONE OF THE HEAVIEST BANDS EVER

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (10/10)
I have been a PanterA fan for a long time, and it's great to see that they have not sold out. When I bought this CD, I was almost expecting it to be less hardcore than their other releases, because of all the criticism they recieved for TRENDKILL. I was pleasantly surprised. STEEL was not as good as VULGAR DISPLAY or FAR BEYOND DRIVEN, but it's damn close. With tracks such as "Revolution Is My Name," "Yesterday Don't Mean SH**," "Goddamn Electric" (with Kerry King from Slayer), and "Death Rattle," PanterA keep the adrenaline flowing for moshers everywhere. I must say, the scariest part of the CD is seeing Phil Anselmo with long hair. That surprised the hell out of me. Anyway, I would highly recommend STEEL for any REAL metal listener. This is not symphony music.
