Any album that this band produces is inevitably labelled as bone-crunchingly heavy. This album is not really different in this respect than to any of Pantera's other albums. However, it just has that 'something else' that the others do not. It is by far their best album, despite producing some classic material after this. No, this is the Pantera album that you want. The others are good, do not get me wrong, but they cannot quite equal this.
