Why All The Fuss? This Album Is An Opus Of Beauty!

I don't get why people are so angry with the new road Paradise Lost has taken. The music of this album is still heavy and hard-hitting, but there are more pianos, some violins, and electronic atmosheres that create a beautiful sound. Wake all you Death-Metalers, all your good bands have matured and grown up. Many of them have taken on Gothic-metal, like Paradise Lost. And many of the really heavy Gothic-metal bands have also calmed down: Theatre of Tragedy, My Dying Bride, Type O Negative, The Gathering, Therion, On Thorns I Lay, and so on. This music is more intelligent and more accessible. And for the people that have been scared by the reviewers who call this techno, don't worry, this IS NOTHING CLOSE TO ELECTRONIC OR TECHNO! Some people seem to think so because of keyboard-created atmosheres and percussion effects, but there is nothing on this album that even closly resembles techno. This is good Gothic-Metal, the way it should be: Beauty within Brutality.
