Although I only discovered Pat Benatar properly in the early 90s (when Cher sang Love Is A Battle field in concert no less) I became compelled to buy every one of her cds. What Synchronsitic Wanderings does is not only condense the amount of input Pat and Neil have made to rock/blues/whatever in her studio albums and celebrates her success, but also includes lesser known or unreleased trax for fans to enjoy. While all the top hits are there, some other gems include Crying (a demo version) which is haunting and even a lullaby Tell Me Why - a rarity indeed from a gal whose voice could knock a bull sideways. This triple cd is a must even for the slightest of fans to appreciate just what a talent the Giraldo couple are, and their immense contribution to the library of popular music. Some of Pat's greater songs were omitted - 7 Rooms of Gloom, Big Life, Don't Let It Show, Evening and Kingdom Key, for example, but hey, when you have created such a wealth of good music, there's only so much you can include on 3 cd! Objectively, well worth a check, evenn if it is just to hark back to the big hits; as a die-hard fan, the rare trax alone were well worth buying it for. One of the finer greatest hits/anthologies around.
