Worth the Purchase, Even If You Have All of Her Albums!

CLASSICS may seem to some like a typical "greatest hits" album, a sometimes blatant way to generate sales without generating new material. I have Patty's original GREATEST HITS CD and I bought CLASSICS as soon as it came out, even though I have every single one of Patty's albums.

The new material -- "Can't Get Enough," "I Just Wanna Be Loved by You," and "My Kind of Woman, My Kind of Man" (with Vince Gill) -- makes this album worth the price, and it's nice to have some of Patty's best on one CD (although I would have added "Long Stretch of Lonesome" to the selections).

"Can't Get Enough" is the true departure for Patty on this album, and it should have been a crossover rock hit; the video, incidentally, is fiery and impressive. Patty has soul, and she can express herself in a multitude of ways!

Despite the surprising "Can't Get Enough," this album still reflects Patty's deep and true country roots, and re-emphasizes the power of her voice -- which comes from the depths of her heart and soul...always.

Please don't hesitate to purchase this album, even if you already have all of Patty's other albums!
