Very Average(from a great artist)

This album from Patty Loveless never did anything for me, "Long Stretch Of Lonesome" never materializes into a great album, much less a great Patty Loveless album. About the only song that I really liked was, "To Have You Back Again", but that was not enough for me to really get into this album, other releases like "High On Love", "Like Water Into Wine" and the title track are just a little too slow for my tastes, I think Patty hit a major bump in the road with this album. She thankfully released a much better album in 2000 named "Strong Heart" which is a much better album then this one. As a matter of fact I rarely listen to this album now, but that's what happens when there is hardly anything on an album to listen to. I have listen to her from "Only What I Feel" and beyond and this album is the only one that is subpar. Patty you have done better and will continue to do your best and that is better than alot of artists.
