McCartney at his very best!

Paul McCartney is right when he says that Driving Rain is a "very interesting album". On his previous 2 albums the music was great but rather predictable. Driving Rain showcases a variety of styles and features excellent music. However, there are no "outstanding" songs and some fans may find the lyrics simple and occasionally silly. But I feel they're at par with his other work. The compositions are consistently good and one won't feel the need to skip any song.
Featuring great guitar playing and drumming. There is no excess of production and the sound is simple yet interesting. After a long time, here's a McCartney album that truly rocks!

NOTE: The inferior "Freedom" is an unfortunate inclusion, not to be found on the original release. It doesn't match the rest of the material here and spoils the album's effect.
