Paul's Best Solo Album In A Decade
Review Score:

(8/10)
People seem to go so hard on Paul. They always forget, The Beatles were a pop band, and Paul is a pop musician. Lennon and Harrison were the rockers of the group. Sure Paul has some rocking numbers, but Paul is the greatest pop writer of the century. Here's a song-by-song review.
Lonely Road - Pretty good track. Sounds like something from the let it be/abbey road sessions. Nice drumming and bass
From Lover to Friend - Really drawn out ballad ... not bad, but not a stand out
.
She's Done Talking - Slow rocker about being tired ... another filler
Driving Rain - Besides the annoying "1,2,3,4,5, Lets go for a drive!" chorus, this song is really good. Nice acoustic melody mixed with great bass and drums. Definitely a stand out.
I Do - another beatles-esq track. Kind of cutesy rocker.
Tiny Bubble - Nice melody with a driving bassline, really one of the better tracks on the album.
Magic - A drippy rock ballad with some chiming guitar work and a pretty good melody.
Your Way - The best so far. Awesome bassline, cool guitarwork/soloing. Good lyrics, good melody. Definitely the kind of song you put on "Track Repeat."
Spinning on an Axis - Kind of a boring song....
About You - Cool rocker. Great melody. Another nice bassline and cool guitar work
Heather - vocals don't come in until the songs is over. Kind of nice but obviously filler.
Back in The Sunshine - Very cool song. Reminds me of a Lennon song. Chiming guitars and aggressive bass, good production.
Your Loving Flame - the most popular song on the album. It's the best ballad on the album hands down. Nice guitar solo, pretty catchy song about Paul's new wife.
Riding in Jaipur - Boring middle-eastern flavoured instrumental trying to sound like a Harrison song.
Rinse the Raindrops - 10 Minutes of rocking fun. The fastest rocker Paul's done in years, definitly one of his best songs.
Freedom - nice melody..... but a little too simple for my tastes.
So overall, there is some filler, but overall some of Paul's best songs.
