Pearl Jam's underrated classic

A lot of people don't like this album, and it's really pretty hard to see why. This is actually my second favorite Pearl Jam disc, after Ten. This album, more than any of the other ones, highlights Eddie Vedder's supreme voice, which is my favorite part of the band. The first three tracks aren't so great, but after that the album really picks up and sweeps you off your feet with great songs like Nothing As It Seems, Thin Air, Insignificance, Grievance, and Sleight Of Hand.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Pearl Jam's harder, more rockish side. However the first 3 songs on this disc are in serious contention for the Three Worst Pearl Jam Songs Of All Time. Particularly "Evacuation". You'd have to give me 5,000 dollars to make me stop skipping over this track every time i listen to this album. Every track on this one after the first three is excellent though, and is overall 5-star grade A Pearl Jam material.
