Great stuff from a great band

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (10/10)
"No Code," Pearl Jam's fourth record, is quite good, dispite recieving dissapointing professional reviews. There are many different moods to this record. The soft and mellow "Off he goes," to their hardest rockin' song since "Blood" (from V.S.), Lukin. "Smile," puts forth an alt-rock/blues combo, which is one of the stronger tracks on the record. "Present Tense," is an excellent song to sum up the greater parts of this album, soft to hard. Not only is it a summary, "Present Tense," is excellent on the record, and better live. Pearl Jam show their flexebility in "Red Mosquito," a fun, rythmic track, very much like "Smile,' in that it fuses classic Pearl Jam with rhythm & blues. "No Code," is a strong record with much to offer, but if you're looking for Pearl Jam, start with "Ten," or "V.S."
