Pet Shop Boys

Discography

As far as hits collections are concerned, it's good

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (8/10)
Compiled in 1991, Discography provides closure for their career in the eighties, collecting their singles into one very accesable hits package that never fails to amaze its listeners. For the casual listener of the boys, this is an excellent collection, filled with hits that are filled with catchy melodies and lyrics. Some of their best tracks are on here with West End Girls, Opportunities, and Suburbia being some of the standouts. For those fans of pop music thinking of digging deeper into their career, tracks such as Being Boring and Love Comes Quickly (which didn't see much exposure stateside upon their original release) represent the more clever writing of the Tenant/Lowe duo, and may encourage the casual listener to dig deeper. The boys don't fail to dissapoint the hardcore fans here with the inclusion of two new songs, DJ Culture, with the ironic coupling of euphoria and hopelessness aimed towards the Gulf War, is an instant classic PSB track, and Was It Worth It, besides being a great disco stomper, is a celebration of life and being who you are, as well as making a strong gay statement.
