Too Many Unlistenable Songs

I never realized how many bad songs Peter Gabriel has made. This is my first Gabriel album so I've only ever known his more popular releases. The songs that don't get any radio time anymore; Family Snapshot, Mercy Street, San Jacinto, etc; are just plain awful.

Fortunately, Shaking the Tree does contain some very good songs: Solsbury Hill, Sledgehammer, and Games Without Frontiers to name three. I bought this album for one song in particular, In Your Eyes, that isn't even on this release. I don't know if it came out after this greatest hits compilation, but it was a major let down that it wasn't included.

This would have been a better album if they cut down the number of songs on it, leaving off the songs I had mentioned plus a few others.
